The Squier Telecaster® is the first electric guitar purchased in the Rodeo closet. This one was bought second-hand in early 1995 and the first gigs were performed with it/her. This is a reissue of the first Telecaster guitars produced in the early fifties featuring a heavy ash body and a maple neck. The original Tele. The serial number, beginning with JV…, testifies this guitar was made in Japan between 1982 and 1984 by Squier, the Japanese subsidiary of Fender. At the time of purchase, it looked like Keith Richards’ Telecaster, featuring a Gibson PAF Humbucker in the neck position, a black one-ply pickguard and a vintage Telecaster bridge pickup. Then the axe was modified a few times, changing the pickups, pickguard, wiring, etc. A guinea-pig for various experiences. Now you can see it with a three-ply pearloid pickguard and a set of Fender Texas Special Tele® pickups.

La Squier Telecaster® est la première guitare acquise dans l’arsenal du Rodeo. Elle a été achetée d’occasion en 1995 et les premiers concerts ont été effectués avec celle-ci. Il s’agit d’une réédition des premières Telecaster produites au début des années 50 avec un lourd corps en frêne et un manche en érable. La Tele originale. Le numéro de série, commençant par JV…, atteste que cette guitare a été fabriquée au Japon entre 1982 et 1984 par Squier, la filiale japonaise de Fender. À l’achat elle était une réplique de la Telecaster de Keith Richards avec un humbucker Gibson PAF en position manche, une plaque de protection noire et un micro chevalet Telecaster vintage. Elle a été ensuite modifiée plusieurs fois en changeant les micros, la plaque, le circuit électronique, etc. Un vrai cobaye pour diverses expérimentations. Telle que vous la voyez désormais, elle dispose d’une plaque nacrée et de micros Fender Texas Special Tele®.
